I am hearing a washer squealing noise when I rotate the drum manually (unit is turned off). Would this be caused by a worn belt?

Hard to say since we need to be there to hear the location and the noise and the type.

Take off the top and back and have someone turn the tub for you and see if you can hear where the noise is coming from. It is not likely to be the belt so concentrate on the pulley and the tub. Also, you may have something caught in the pump or drain hoses.
