My Icemaker will freeze water put in manually, but it will not refill water by itself. Checking as we speak to see if it dispenses cubes from manual fill. Any suggestions? solenoid or ice maker motor, just dont know how to check.

You're alredy replaced the Water Valver - Still Not Working.
Shut your water off - disconnect the water line to the from the back of the refrigerator at the top where it goes into the icemaker. I used zip tie or something flexable to see if it would go all the way through to the
tube inside the refrig. If you have obstruction - use your hair dryer
to thaw the ice from inside the refrigerator tube. When the flexable goes all the way through. Hook back the water line to the icemaker. You will have ice soon.

 I have not replaced the water valve yet. NEW problem now. Yesterday it was freezing water, but the ice ejector was in the wrong position, getting frozen in. took it apart, fixed, and broke the white plastic wheel that turns it. Whirlpool doesnt show it as a seperate part - must buy motor for 70.00 is that true?

You should be able to purchase the wheel on line. Just have the make and model No. of your refrig.

Some manufacturers have a parts breakdown, otherwise you just bought yourself a new icemaker, and still have the water problem. Joe
