I pushed the start button and I heard a pop outside and the A/C went off. Reset the breaker and A/C came on but the dryer wouldn't start. I've tested the fuse and the motor and they are okay. I'm wondering if it is the starter button?

Did you measure the voltage at the wall outlet? It suppose to be 240 VAC.

Which fuse did you test?

Remove the dryer rear panel and check the terminal block (where the power cord is connected to the dryer).

Check the heating element for the shortage to the ground.

Here is the Tech sheet.
