I just replaced and Evap. Fan Motor in a GE Freezer with is over the Refrig. The Evap. fan Motor sits just over the vertical Eval Coils and the fan spindle is over the motor and points up.

The Fan can be placed on the spindle in either direction. So should the air flow down thru the coils or should the air be pulled up accross the coils and thru the freezer.

My initial thought was to push air down so that some of the cold air gets to the refrig.

Please advise,

The fan blade allways goes on top for these models, you suck air up through the evaporator.
