Hello, I have an Asko 1805 Dishwasher which ran well for several years. This dishwasher has a small slot on bottom right side of door inside the tub, which opens to outside the unit. Presumably this is to drain water out of tub if drain is blocked. With bottom panels on, any water coming out of that slot is diverted into bottom drain pan. Small amounts in bottom pan would evaporate. If a large amt fills the bottom pan, then dishwasher stops. I use Electrasol cubes for the soap.
Now the problem - on 2 out of 10 washes, water pours out of this slot during the pump out cycle, and a little splashes out while the spray arms turn. At the end of the wash, there is white soapy water in the bottom of the dishwasher, and the dishes don't seem very clean. I run the first minute of the rinse cycle a few times to pump out the soapy water (about 1 min, then stop, reset and restart rinse), then a full rinse to clean the soap off the dishes. The next wash might be OK, or might not.
I have cleaned sump filter (didn't find much), pulled up little tab and don't feel anything else in where the pump impeller is, checked and cleared the drain hose multiple times through to air gap (it wasn't blocked) and have checked the high loop (OK), but the problem keeps happening periodically (not every time). Starting to suspect the drain pump, or could it be circulating pump? Or other possibilities? Grateful for guidance.
Jas Higgins

(PS, the Recall repair has been made on this unit (wax motor, and new computer). Problem existed a few times before this, but it wasn't doing it around the time the recall repair was made, and the tech suggested checking the high loop if it happened again. At the time it had only happened twice and I didn't know where the water was coming from to fill the bottom pan).

I'm not familiar with Asko dishwashers. Maybe somebody else on the forum can help you.

Gene.
