Shortly after we attempted a self-cleaning, our JennAir range began beeping and displayed an F1 error, which will not go away. I researched the error code online, and found that it could be the touch pad or the ERC. I disconnected the ribbon strip, powered the range back on, and the F1 code reappeared immediatley. This seems to indicate the ERC. My question concerns which part I should order. Is the ERC called the panel control, part # A375454, or is it the clock with overlay, part # 74008112?
Am also wondering if this is an easy part to replace.
Thanks

The part which has to be replaced is the clock with overlay and if it's white than the part number 74008112 is correct part number. This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. Remove the rear cover to access the part. - The manufacturer part number 74008112 is Appliance Parts Pros item number AP3455547 Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model JER8850AAWGene.

The clock with overlay arrived today, I installed it and immediatley got the F1 error upon plugging the range back in. I am sure it is wired correctly as I took digital pictures of the connections before removing the old part. Any ideas?

I can not believe it but it sounds like the new part is defective. You have to call the customer service to exchange the part under the part warranty.

Pull the range, remove the back cover and check the oven sensor wire harness and the oven sensor plug for any damages. Unplug the oven sensor and measure the resistance across the sensor terminals. It suppose to be about 1100 Ohms at the room temperature. If the reading is wrong then replace the oven sensor. If the reading is correct then eliminate the plug and reconnect the oven sensor using a high temperature porcelain wire nuts. - The part number for the oven sensor is AP204836 - The part number for the high temperature porcelain wire nuts is AP3440522 Gene.
