The dryer works fine except that there is an extreme amount of lint that by-passes the screen.
Could it be the blower is running backwards? Damage to the venting system? Lost!! Need help!

I have to ask: has any work been done to the dryer and/or the blower? In our Whirpool, the blower is wired via a connector and can't be plugged in wrong, so I'm not sure how it could rotate in reverse. More info could help.

Thanks for the reply - No work was done to the unit. It was purchased new and installed as a stacked pair.
The only thing I can imagine is that the power is reversed somewhere - or the blower is sucking instead of blowing??!! Would that be possible with a 240V if the +/- were reversed??

Wow, that is really weird. You could put your hand against it and see, but my money would be on some other reason, like an obstruction (packaging, vent hose plugged, etc.).

Is it under warranty?
