the door will not latch closed so we can't start the machine.
As per the manual we ordered and replaced the motor control unit, AND the l control board.
Nothing still works. Door doesn't latch.
HELP!

I am a little confused, why didn't you begin with replacing the door latch assembly?

I don't know why. Just did what my husband told me to order I think he said everything had checked out and per the manual it was suggested to change what we did. Just beforei it stopped closing we had a big cold snap. We also have my sisters old duet, and it stopped closing after the cold snap too. Any connection to that part and extreem cold? They are both in an unheated garage. Or is it just a fluke? So I guess we should order the door latch?

I cannot think of any reason why a cold snap should have caused your problem with either machine, but almost all washers are operated in heated space, so I cannot say what cold would do it.
The door lock assembly's on these machines regularly fail, so I would certainly try replacing it. Also check the wiring between the door lock assembly and the main control board.
If you order from this site and it does not fix the problem then under certain circumstances you can return the part. See the returns policy for details.
Good luck, let us know how it turns out.
