Hello. My clock faded to black but all the functions work. I ordered a new clock from Appliance Parts Pros (part #MAC 71003424). The size and shape match, so it will fit. The components, I think they're called resistors, look different, but I'm told they should function. My problem is, the long connector (17 pins) doesn't match the connector for the existing wiring (17 orange wires that have a connector to the touch panel). The other 2 connectors (4 pin and 8 pin) match up fine. Is there an adaptor that will make this clock work, or do I have the wrong clock?

Its calling for a 74003424 clock.
Check the tags on the old clock itself.
Are there any part numbers similar to whats listed?

On the top of the old clock, there is a tag identical to the one on the new clock, except the numbers are different. The old part number is CN: 7601P568-60. I have contacted a local parts company and described the 17 pin connector on my old clock. They took a clock out of the box with the same Maytag number (71003424) and described the connector, and it matches my old one exactly. I'm going there this morning to look at it. One of your customer service reps, as well as the other parts company thinks the clock you sent me was incorrectly packaged. I'll know more after I go there. If their clock is the correct one, I'll most likely buy it and send yours back for a refund.

Ok let us know what you find..

BTW, the customer service reps and parts aren’t mine.
I’m just a volunteer who decided to step away from
his electronics work bench for few minuets.
