My Dryer won't start, so I figured it's the thermal limiter based on the manual and some snooping on the forum. I ordered the part, but now that it comes to replacing it, I'm having a hard time getting to it. Based on the wiring diagram, it should have two brown wires attatched to it, one that goes to the motor and one that goes to the timer. So following both of the brown wires attatched to those, it looks like the TL is located high in the back of the machine in a nebulous area I haven't gotten open yet. Am I way off base? Why would they put what is likely to be the first part to need replacing in such a hard to reach area? (answer: so people will pay for a repairman:mad: ). Thanks.

The thermal limiter (thermal fuse) is a safety device. It should prevent any damages from overheating. That's why it's located on the back panel near the heating element (#36 on the diagram). In order to access this part you have to take the dryer apart and remove the drum. The instructions are attached to the reply. Gene.
