Customer, a minister friend of mine, smelled gas and called me. Found a pressure regulator, part # 316091706 was leaking gas out the back and leaking a small amount of gas into the stove. Gas supplied with a propane tank.
Set oven to bake, igniter came on, but gas flow was too weak to allow ignition, a rather dangerous condition.
Columbia gas thinks this regulator has a built in safety valve. Is this true, or do I need to add a safety valve to the gas line. Thanks in advance.
Reviewing the safety valve info, it only closes when there is a much higher gas flow than would occur when everything is turned on, so it would have not done anything in this case.

Update' replaced regulator, now all is ok. Far as I can tell, there is no safety valve in this regulator.
