This is the built in convection oven. I've seen similar posts where the oven heats, then drops and will to then hit the desired temp. And ours also does this inconsistently -- about 75 percent failure.

Most of the posts I have read refer to error codes on the display. That is one thing that has never been displayed.

I would like to make the repair myself. And thinking the ERC is the part I would go with.

Any thoughts on my similar problem except without an error 'F' codes.....

Looks like you were right and the EOC is the first failure suspect.

- The part number for the EOC is AP97228

Here are the break down diagrams for the Amana oven Model AOCS3040C
