My Frigidaire Gallery Series electric dryer is giving me problems. It will only start a cycle if you have the Heat Selector on "low heat". If it is not set to "low heat," the dryer beeps and displays "dr" three times instead of starting the cycle. In the low heat mode, everything works fine.

I ran a function test according to the function test data sheet and everything works correctly. In the function test mode, the dryer works in all heat settings and the temperature gets up to 130 degrees, so that makes me thing that the heating elements are working properly. Also, eventhough the display shows "dr" when it doesn't start, I think the door switch is working properly because it works in the "low heat" mode. Also, the exhaust duct was checked for flow and nothing was backed up or anything. I recently checked the thermal limiter too and it seems fine. It has 0 resistance and the dryer has the same symptoms when I jumped out the wires going to the thermal limiter.

I don't know much else about thermostats or control boards, but I inspected all of the wires inside and I can't find any visable problems. I can not be 100% positive that the model number given is the exact one because the sticker is missing from my dryer, but I'm pretty sure it is judging by pictures and research that I've done.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

The Tech sheet I found by the model number you posted says nothing about "dr" error code or three times beeping.

Tests results you posted do not show anything wrong. You may want to call an authorized service to diagnose this problem.

Gene.
