Roper washer timer works-fills with water-humms-clicks-sometimes jumps but sits still after then humming then clicks but does not agitate, spin or drain-installed new motor coupling, washer 5 1/2 years old in excellent condition just want to repair hopefully not replace it right now, thanks-from Nana

Take off the cabinet and check for something jammed in the pump or a broken pump.

Thanks so much sidfink43, you know your profession! exactly what the problem was-a sock in the water pump, wow! Mr Bob (Appliance in Hope Mills) had to get it out with his repair tools plus reset the motor coupler (not set correctly by us) and replace screws we'd lost-hahahaha! very professional and low cost repair work. many blessings: Nana~

Well great, we find a lot of socks in the pump, I just don't know how they get there.
