I did ask you to verify all of the above because improper capacitor and magnetron wiring could damage the transformer.

Otherwise I can not tell you what caused the transformer damage. It can be just a bad luck. This is definitely not the capacitor.

Just to make sure that I understand wwwhat you described - The connectoir to the magnetron should have the two wired on the FA side and the one wire to the capacitor on the F side
The Two wires (on the right) are conected to the capoacitor with the two pins of which one is the diode and to the low voltage side of the x former. The left wire F side goes to the the other side of the low voltage secondary of the xformer.

Is this correct? If I am correct then the diode whiped out the Xformer.

Where the wire from the high voltage side of the transformer goes?

One side goes to the capacitor through the diode anode to ground and is also conneced to the LV transformer between the cap and diode.. The other Wire connects to ground at the anode of the diode.round acording to the schematic.

There is only one wire coming out of the transformer. The second end of the high voltage winding connected to the body of the transformer (ground). The wire which coming out of the transformer should be connected to the capacitor terminal and nothing else should be connected to this terminal.

The diode cathode and one of the filament (low voltage) wire should be connected to the other capacitor terminal and the wire from that terminal should be connected to the "FA" magnetron terminal.

We have gone back and fort on this forum and I appreciate all your time. Is it possible that I can call you and spend a few minutes on the phone so that we can reach a conclusion. I will not use your phone number again.

I think think this would save us some time and expidite the process.

Another question - I'm afraid this repair becoming too expensive because the transformer has to be replaced in addition to the magnetron and diode you already purchased and the diode has to be ordered again.
