Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 4/27/2010(UTC) Posts: 1		Hello, having a problem with an old Frigidaire dryer. It seems to heat up inside the drum (and the top of the cabinet gets warm), but blows almost cool air out the vent. I have disassembled the unit. The heater coils test 12 ohms, and I tested what I believe are the two thermostats, both read .4 ohms on the meters lowest setting. No obvious lint obstruction. Any idea what ails this machine?

Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		I have not worked on that old a model but it sounds like there is an obstruction somewhere. Take off the blower housing and check the fan and take off the internal exhaust and check it.
