Hello to all,
New to the forum have a question about my Kenmore Dryer. I bought this set used about 2 months ago. The dryer will work sometimes other times the clothes arent all the way dry. It doesnt always get hot. I have been told that it is prob. the cut off thermostat, Is this true if so how much does that part usually run and how hard is it to be replaced? I dont have and ohm mtr to do all the testing I am trying to borrow one from someone cause I see that you all recommend that in order to find the correct part. Please help since I cant afford to buy a new dryer nor to have someone come and fix it unless someone is in Kingsland GA and is willing to do a favor.....(or just lend a hand)
Thanks Trey

intermitant problems can be difficult to resolve ,especially from where i am. first of all make sure you remove any lint from duct going from back of dryer to outside . should have strong airflow to outside

I just checked. I have good airflow to the outside. It doesnt knock you donw but it blows good. I am about to go to the store and pick up an ohm meter. Im not sure what to check but I hope someone will be able to tell me by the time I get back.

are you saying that sometimes it appears to be working normally. have you used it on different cycles+ noticed a difference in peformance,or does it behave the same on all cycles , i am thinking there may be a timer issue if so

it does the same on all cycles. It doesnt stop early it runs the entire time when its on the timed mode. Sometimes it works perfectly fine. It dreis the load like a brand new dryer.

How long has it been since you replaced your 30 amp breaker? I have come across this type of thing before. Most of the time it is your breaker.

I am in an apartment so I am unaware of when the last time this was replaced. Is there a way to test it to see if it is good, bad, or needs replacement?
