I just found out that the motor on my KitchenAid KUDS01IJBT1 is dying. Replacement cost is about $450 including parts and labor.
The motor itself is only $115 on this site.
So.... I'm not bad with a wrench, but I'm also am man enough to admit when I'm out of my league. Is this a DIY job or not?
Also, if I'm replacing the motor, are there any other parts I should buy "just in case" or because they always get swapped out at the same time?
Thanks in advance! Leon

Hi Leon, This part is not too difficult to replace yourself. You can find the complete instructions in the service manual. In addition to the motor assembly you probably have to order the volute seal. - The part number for the motor assembly is AP3179651 - The part number for the volute seal is AP3039198 Here are the break down diagrams for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDS01IJBT1Gene.
