FOR THE LAST FEW WEEKS WE HAVE NOTICED A HORRIBLE SMELL COMING FROM HTE REFRIGERATOR.. IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE FAN IS ON. WE MOVED IT SO THAT WE COULD SEE THE BACK AND REMOVED THE HOSING AT THE BOTTOM AND FOUND IT WAS FILLED WITH A SMELLY LIQUID:eek: AND CLEANED IT. WE THOUGHT OUR PROBLEM WAS SOLVED BUT ITS STILL THERE. WE WERE NOT ABLE TO REMOVE THE DRAIN PAN, COULD THIS BE THE PROBLEM AND IF SO HOW DO WE REMOVE THIS DRAIN PAN IN THIS MODEL THE PAN IS NOT ACCESSIBLE FROM THE FRONT AND VERY HAZARDOUS THROUGH THE BACK...ANY SUGGESTIONS:confused:

margarita,

I'm not familiar with this model but I know that sometime it is a huge headache to remove a drain pan. Unload the fridge and try to lift it from the front or from the side closest to the drain pan. Hopefully it will give you better access.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire refrigerator Model FRU17B2JW0

Gene.
