The Bosch dishwasher shu43c07uc/14 is simply dead. Black wires at the power junction box down at the kickplate were burnt. All is now cleaned and reconnected. Power is verified via black wire all the way up to the on/off switch. I am trying to troubleshoot the switch but don't know what to test. I have the switch and meter in hand. Any idea what readings over which terminals should be? The main control panel is no longer available, so if the switch is the problem, I'll replace it. If not, I'll probably need to replace the dishwasher Thanks.

This is a late response and will not help wyeguy but for others with this question here is how to check the 6 terminal on/off switch. Remove the door panel and disconnect the 6 terminal plug. Using a VO meter to check continuity, there should be no continuity between any of the terminals with the switch in the off position. Referring to the terminal closest to the door panel as terminal 1 and pushing the switch to the on position, you should have continuity between terminals 1 & 2 and terminals 3 & 4 but nothing between terminals 5 & 6. Now connect the VOM to terminals 5 & 6 and push the switch to on and then to off. Each time the switch is fully depressed as you cycle from on to off you should have continuity between 5 & 6. Not having continuity between 5 & 6 each time the switch is depressed is the most common failure mode on the 6 terminal switch. If your dishwasher uses the 165886 switch, it is no longer available in the US but can be ordered from "www.spares4appliances.co.uk" and takes about 2 1/2 weeks to received through regular mail.
