When I turn the knob to start the dryer, it gives a 'hum' and does not start.
Could this be the Thermal Limiter??:confused:

Just one short "hum" or it's humming for awhile?

:eek: Thanks to al, but we found that the motor went. Just bought a new washer and dryer and was not ready for that.
