GE Profile PSC23SGRC SS, approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years old

I changed my water filter about 3 weeks ago. The change indicator light on the display panel would not reset. A few days later, about 1 out of every 3 times I tried to get water, nothing would come. Then a few days later, it stopped dispensing ice (crushed or cubed). Ice will not work. Can get a glass of water and stop filling before it is full, sometimes it will begin dispensing again if you push the dispenser. Sometimes it won't no matter how many times you push in the dispenser. Can wait 15 minutes or so and the next I try it will dispense water. The ice maker still continues to make ice but will not dispense thru the dispenser on the front of the door.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

thanks

sounds like you have an electrical problem with the power to the dispenser, or with the dispenser circuit board itself. If the power wires that enter your freezer door are at the top, under hinge cover, its probably going to be the board. If the wires come in from the bottom, through the lower hinge, check the wires themselves. ON newer fridges ive seen them so securely attached, the lack of play bends, and eventually frays the wires. The fact that y our unable to dispense both ice and water, yet the ice maker makes ice, narrows your problem to the dispenser. If you are still unable to determine the nature of the problem, I would recommend you have an expert refrigerator repair service inspect and diagnose your refrigerator.

Thanks for your response. Which "board" are you referring to? The main circuit board for the whole frig?

"sounds like you have an electrical problem with the power to the dispenser, or with the dispenser circuit board itself." this would be located in the dispenser module.
