Hello, I have the above mentioned washer 17 Series, I purchased in 2003. For awhile it has been making a VERY loud noise during the spin cycle (sounds like a Jet), and now it won't completely wring all the water out of the laundry during the spin cycle.
I have already placed an order for a part: Pump-Water , Part No: AP4373022. Do you believe with the problems I have expressed this part will solve the problem or do I need something else?
If that part is correct, could you instruct me with Step-by Step instructions on HOW to go about replacing it, (since the customer service rep. was unsure if directions would be included with the part.)
Thanks

Chil, You can easy check if the pump is the culprit. Tilt the washer back, remove the belt and check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions. Broken pump bearing is one the most common problems with Performa washers. In order to replace the pump you have to remove the front panel. The instructions are in the Service manual. The pump Part number: AP4373022
