I have a Maytag side by side that has worked fine for the past 4years then last night the compressor relay began clicking, the compressor gets very warm but it is only blowing 69 degree air into the freezer. A visual inspection of the relay shows burnt marks around the contacts (one side with peicies of plastic falling out). Any thought on this being the problem or could the capacitor/compressor be the problem? THANKS!

First change out the relay and overload. If that don't fix it then the compressor is bad and will need replacement.
If it's less than 5 years old the compressor will be under warranty

You can order the start device on this site. Part # AP3964068 Should fix your problem, just make sure the run capacitor is still wired between the compressor start and run pins.
