how do you open the dryer to tighten one of the baffles that has loosened?

Remove the door and the filler brackets directly across from the door hinges. The front panel will then pull off at the top corners, and swing downward to lift off the bottom clips. Right under the top corners of the top panel are two L-shaped (roughly speaking) brackets, each attached to the cabinet with a 5/16" hex head screw. Remove these screws and pivot the brackets to release the top. The top then hinges upward to expose the tumbler. The rest should become obvious to you. Reassembly is in reverse.
