My icemaker makes noise when I try to dispense crushed or cubed ice, but the auger does not turn. I looked closely at the blades which crush the ice and noticed one of them is interlocked with an adjacent (stationary, I guess) blade, keeping anything from moving. Is this worth trying to fix? There was a top panel covering the blade chamber that locks into place, but I couldn't quite get the thing off. I've attached photos of the blades and the panel that I had trouble removing. Thanks for any advice concerning removing the panel or dislodging the blade.

I have succeeded in dislodging the blade by pushing it backwards with a large screwdriver while my son turned the auger with his hand. The unit now dispenses crushed or cubed ice. Aside from a slightly bruised finger, everything is back to normal - for now.
