Ice maker works but builds up ice below troth and locks auger, any idea?

Only 2 possibilities on this problem. Sticking contacts in the icemaker motor module or the water valve is closing too slowly. The valve closing too slowly can be caused by a faulty water inlet valve, low water pressure, crimped water line, or a self tapping saddle valve stopping up with mineral deposits or debris in water supply. You see,the water valve is closed by water pressure only so if pressure has to bleed past a restriction in the supply, the valve closes too slowly and overfills the icemaker. =]
