My kenmore 60 series washer stopped spinning but would still agitate and drain. It soon stopped agitating as well. The motor coupling was indeed broken so I replaced it and now it vibrates and sounds like it wants to spin but still does not. I thought I installed the coupling wrong and took it apart and tried again but still to no avail. Is there something I missed or is there more damage done? thanks

If it drains then the motor is turning ok, and I suspect a problem in your transmission. The machine is in neutral when it drains, so it sounds like your problem occurs when the transmission tries to enage.
