Maytag Dishwasher MDB4000AWB. Seems to wash and go through the cycle okay, except that is does not dry. I've only been in the house about 2 yrs, so I'm guessing at the age of the dishwasher. Actual age unknown. Any ideas on how to make it start drying again? Is it a relatively easy repair? I can replace parts, but not so good with tracing wires, testing circuits, etc.

There are four possible causes of your problem: Open high limit thermostat; Burnt-out heater element; Bad selector switch; or a bad timer. You need to test each component to narrow down the diagnosis; or ou need to find someone (maybe a friend, confident with a meter) to do it for you.
