Our Mayag electric dyer still works but is making noises like a vibration. I also see some small black debris at top of filter frame, so maybe it is the rubber belt. I can't see what to take off first to inspect the internal moving parts. Is there somewhere a diagram of how to open up the dryer to see the internal parts?

Remove the door first. Also, remove the filler plates opposite the door hinges. the front panel will then come off by pulling it out at the top corners and pivoting it off the bottom clips. This will expose the 5/16" hex screws that hold the front tumbler boss in place. The lid is held down by two brackets that are held by one screw each. Here's a breakdown that may help.

THANK YOU. Today, I started the steps you prescribed above. I stopped after taking off the tumbler front boss. I already could see that the belt seemed to be in good shape, although it was flat and not grooved as I expected. I could see most of the interior and couldn't see anything vibrating to make the the rumbling noise. I did not take off the top lid because I did not see the two brackets holding down the lid with one screw in each (maybe I didn't look hard enough). I saw a plastic snap-in at the top front right and left underside of the lid but no screws. I was afraid to break the plastic joiners so I stopped before taking off the lid. Where can I look for a diagram about the lid and how it is attached?

THANK YOU

Click on the link I posted. On the left side of the diagram there are other sections to view. One of these may help.
