After I start the microwave, the carousal on my Kenmore (above oven) microwave only starts to turn after I smack it. It also continues to turn after the timer stops, requiring me to touch the concel button to stop the carousal from turning. When its not turning the food does not heat. Do I need to replace the carousal motor????

Normally, I would suspect a loose wire or connection on the carousel motor, but with the added information about having to press "Cancel" to get it to stop, I'm leaning more toward a relay on the control board. This means you would have to replace the board, unless you can find a component-level tepair tech to repair the board.
