Microwave started making a loud droaning noise, like a motor that's straining to run or unable to start. Here a a short AVI file I uploaded to photobucket. 001.flv video by franketrozzo - PhotobucketDon't know if it's heating food I didn't want to run it too long.

Sounds like a shot diode. What is the complete model number of the microwave?

Thank you for the info Gene. I tried a test run and the oven does NOT heat. Would the 2 suggested replacement parts solve the problem? Is this a user friendly repair? Are there possibly any picture tutorials on the forums to go by?

You have to have an ohmmeter and perform the troubleshooting before replacing any parts. So far it is just a guessing.
