The other night while using the convection bake function on my GE P2S975SEM1SS dual fuel oven I notice flickering lights in the oven. I opened it to find bright light, smoke, and slight buzzing coming from behind the upper side of the convection fan cover. The coils were still orange. I turned the oven off immediately and now when you turn on the convection bake it will not heat. The fan will cycle off and on, but no heat. The broiler and other coils seem to work fine still. A year ago I had a GE tech come out because I thought I noticed smoke in the convection fan. He said there was no problem and attempted to charge a education fee. I am starting to wonder now. Another problem that has been going on for a while is the clean function and control lock out features won't work because it thinks there is a burner on. They are all turned off, yet it still says error. If that repair is expensive I could live with the problem.
