I have a 3 yr old kenmore quiet guard standard, not sure of the model number 587???? The dishwasher came with the house as it was bought new. turns on fine, fills with water, then nothing, the water does not get sprayed, then it continues on through the cycles, and drains fine. It just wont wash?? Any ideas??
Thanks:confused:

After it fill and goes to wash cycle do you hear a humming or any other noises... poss chopper is clogged ... pour in 2 cups bleech and let set for 5 mins the start dishwasher .. the bleach will eat off the grime on the chopper... Also remove lower toe panel and look under and see if you have and signs of a leal for poss motor problems

hi,

I'm in the exact same situation... new house, less than 3 years old, yada yada. This model has two separate motors. One for fill and drain, one for wash cycle. The wash cycle motor is out. It's about $150 for the part to replace it yourself... (which I am looking up now that I have some funds to do it with).

If I'd have known such a low end washer were being put in, I would have requested an upgrade for less than a hundred dollars and surely wouldn't have been dealing with this right now.
