Questions: 1) if the windings test badly does that mean I need to replace motor? Yes 2) How do I access motor? Is motor accessable from the front - or do I need to pull out the dishwasher and turn it upside down? Depends on how good you are at working in tight places. You may have to pull it out some but should not have to turn it upside down. 3) Do I order new motor AND pump or are they the same? Comes is a number of ways(just the motor 20, the pump/impeller 10 or the entire assembly 14) see section 8 in parts. 4) I do see a wire from the control panel leading down somewhere. Is this the (possibly bad) one being referred to in your reply? Just trace the ones back from the motor.
5) Is the capacitor easy to replace if the motor is good? (Though I don't hear a buzz) Not very difficult. |
