Hi. I just moved into a new place that already had a stackable washer and dryer. The dryer makes a noise like it is going to start and it gets hot but the drum doesn't turn. It looks like the belt is still intact. What else could be wrong with it? I would appreciate ANY help and/or advice. I can not afford a new one as I was laid off recently :(

I cannot get your model number to come up. You should be able to turn the drum fairly easily by hand. If you cannot you need to open it up and check out what would be causing the drum to hang up. It can be the belt, or the rear bearings.
If the drum does turn easily then it sounds like your motor is failing.
If you need more info please post a full model number so we can see exactly which machine you have.

The only 2 numbers I found on it are GE34800308 and LCE462AW1. I can move the drum by hand pretty easily. I took it all apart and vacuumed out all the lint. It still doesn't work. It looks like the belt is still in tact.

Ok, good, this model number LCE462AW1 is your machine, a Frigidaire 24" narrow washer/dryer combo.
It sounds very much like your motor is toast. The replacement appears to be a special item, so check with APP or your favorite parts supplier about its availability.
