When motor is supposed to run it it will jerk but not spin. when power goes off motor spins very freely. This is the original motor so controler is mouted on the back of it instead of a seperate unit as in replacement kit. when I removed the cover over the control board (on mtr) I can see a burnt resistor. Looked at Main control board don't see anything burnt. Any way to be sure it is just the controler on the motor? Also any possible way to identifiy the burnt resistor and safe $185.00 for motor and controler replacement?

I have the EXACT same problem. What did you end up doing to solve it? Replace the motor?............did it fix the problem?? Did you ever find out what the R5 resistor value is ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a meter, you can pull the service sheet from behind the kick panel and follow the diagnostics for this problem.
