my dryer starts to squeak shuts down,if i wait 5 minutes it will restart but will shut down again in a few seconds:(

You could have 2 issues, your motor is cutting off on overload, and your rollers are most likely your reason for the squeeking. Which probably all happened because you could have a clogged vent to the out side. I could be reached at my web site at ApplianceEducator.com Tom

thanks,but i figured out its the motor.it squeaks even when i disconnected the belt.

thanks,its the motor,squeaks even after the belt is disconnected.thought i might be able to lube it.i really dont want to buy a new dryer or new motor but i think i might be out of luck.

Don't lube the motor. this will eventualy lead to more problems. lint and other debris will adhere to the lube and your berrings and shaft and will lock that motor. your better off getting the new motor or getting a new dryer. hope this helps
