I have a gas dryer that will run but not heat up. I had no Ohms through the ignitor, so I replaced it. The dryer still will not heat up. I see on the wiring diagram that there is a thermal fuse, but I can't seem to locate it. Any help would be great!

Thanks

The thermal fuse is #59 on this diagram and should be accessible from the back.

Before you get to the fuse... What happens when you turn on the dryer (try both TIMED DRY and PERMANENT PRESS)? Does the igniter start to glow? If it does, you probably need a new set of coils (see below). If it does not, then check the flame sensor and thermal fuse for continuity. The flame sensor is #48 on the same diagram and is located on the side of the gas chamber, a few inches from the igniter. When testing for continuity, make sure that 1. power to the dryer is turned off 2. at least one wire is removed from the component being tested.

- Replacement thermal fuse
- Replacement flame sensor
- Replacement valve coils

No power to the igniter no matter where you set it

Check the flame sensor and the fuse then. Most likely it's one of them, but if both check out fine let me know and we'll go from there.
