dear bob , sorry the model no. for the stove is sf1114pxsb1 if that one is wrong i will will repost and my problem is an f-2 on the display would that be a bad board or a bad oven sensor?

sorry didnt mean to call u bob i have a stove in which im replacing the electric spark module board the model no is sf362lxsb and the intruction sheet says when replacing board remove red wire and tape off but there are three wires going to the board which one is it? theres one on the bottom of board bout mid left and what appears to be two on the harness that comes in from main board and one that looks kinda pinkish red on the far right of the same harness the instruction sheet part no. is 8273977 badly printed and theres an arrow pointing to the wire in the diagram but cant see as the wires are twisted in picture

fsp part no. 9758080 electric spark module replacement board for whirlpool stove also comes with part no. 8273977which is an instruction sheet and it says to remove red wire and tape off from original board but it has like 3 it is a poor explaination as the arrows points to a area near the wires but dosnt not very specific are these trick instructions my problem is oven and broil ignitor not sparking the model no. to the range is sf362lxsb

Gene. dear gene that stove is not the same one as the one with the f-2 reading please read the post again im trying to explain it but it really seems that you arent reading it the model no. to the stove/range is sf36lx2sb its a whirlypool and the replacement electric spark module board number is fsp no.9758080 and its instruction sheet number is 8273977and thats my real problem the main board gives out power when the oven or broiler is selected but thers no tick the instructions are crappy the sheet makes absoluty no sense and is very misleading my number one problem/question is which freaking red wire are these bogus instructions refering to ? plase help me properly im very p o'd already

Gene,
Keeping you posted .. the oven is operational. I replaced the gas valve since that was bad based on the ohms reading not being at 216ohms. In order to verify the voltage would drop to the appropriate 8vdc to 18vdc I used a variable resistor (pot) set at 216 ohms and then checked the voltage which fell to the correct volts. Good thing I had one.. In which case I am now able to send back the DSI board that I did not need.

i dont know if you got the information here it is again the model no. to the whirlpool stove is sf362lxsb the spark module board is not reading an output but the main board is giving it power when oven or broil is selected i went out and bought the replacement board but the instruction sheet is very vague and says to remove the red wire from the original board it also has an arrow that points to an area where there are wires but its a poor print and there are 3 red wires i will also buy a valve from appliancepartspros if that is case with the stove i want fix it which red wire is it ? instruction sheet no.8273977

According to the Instruction sheet, the red wire as well as the jumper wire on the bottom of the range have to be removed only for the ranges with certain serial numbers. What is the serial number of your range? Gene. Click on the above link to read the instructions.
