Dryer is somewhere between 4-8 years old, I can't remember exactly.

Was in a flooded basement 3 years ago+/- , worked fine after everything was dry.

I'm having problems with no heat. Everything else operates as it should.

There is no detectable odor of gas.

I tested all cycles, and all heat settings, none worked.

I read several topics regarding no heat, which lead me to check the igniter. There is no continuity between any 2 points on the igniter itself. There is no continuity when terminals in the harness are probed.

Resistance check: 200 scale: 57.2 (average)

While holding probes on the terminals inside the harness, reading would occasionally go to 0, then back up to 57.1/57.2/57.3

Testing conducted with a Sperry DM-210A.

What is the proper resistance of the igniter? Is the reading going to 0 then back up an indication of a problem with the igniter, or my DMM?

I removed the ignitor from the circuit completely for testing, and I knew to avoid touching the heating element.

I just found another post suggesting the thermal fuse, testing in circuit revealed no continuity.

I then removed the fuse entirely, and there is no continuity.

I BELIEVE I've found the problem. I plan to replace the fuse, AND the ignitor, since I had the intermittant 0 readings of resistance, and since the porcelain housing on the ignitor was cracked a little where the bolt was tightened down.

Does it look like I'm looking in the right direction?

Excellent! Thanks for all your help, both parts were in stock, and I just placed my order. I'm assuming I'll have everything Monday or Tuesday, with the dryer done the same day. I'll post my results when everything is put back together.
