This is a KitchenAid microwave hood combination. The manual specifies 10 watt (12v) halogen bulbs to be used for the cooktop lights, but I'd like to know if it can handle 20 watt bulbs instead. Does anyone know if the wiring and bulb holders in this model can safely handle the higher wattage?

I couldn’t tell you definitively if it will work or not but I don’t recommend trying. I would stick with what the manufacture recommends.
