My clothes weren't spinning dry enough. So after finding repair method here, great help thanks all... I purchased 285790 clutch kit. I had some issues on reassembly, I guess I should have used my camera, oh well.
Ran washer, it spins out perfect. My only issue is when it starts up the spin process, it makes a kind of metal klinging sound. Not a metal on metal rubbing, more a muffeled bell ringing. Only a short time then stops when spin hits full speed.
I 'm wondering if anyone has had this, knows of a fix? Or is it possible I put together wrong. One thing I noticed was the brake cam driver seemed a bit smaller than previos one.
Is it possible the transmission took some kind of damage, I'm not big on TLC????
Thanks for any help/input....

It is almost impossible for us to diagnose a sound like your because we need to be there to hear the type and location. Try operating the machine with the cabinet off (by pass the lid switch) and see if you can determine where the noise is coming from.

I doubt if you damaged the transmission, but you may not have the clutch on completely right, so if all else fails pull out the transmission and take a look.
