Hello guys, newby here.

Bought the above fridge second hand only to find the water valve was cracked

I ordered, received and tried to install it but to no luck.

The part is made by another manufacturer and is not color coated the same as the original. Therefore I'm doing trial and error trying to get the lines in the correct place and its not working.

My first attempt was to take the original part, and hook the lines up in the same location on the new part. At that point I had no leaks from down below, but my water filter housing was leaking heavily, with little water from the actual dispenser.

Assuming the filter/oring was no good (and needing one anyway) I ordered a filter, and just installed it. Now I have NO water coming from dispenser, or filter housing and YES my supply line is on, and I've not made any changes at the water valve.

I'm thinking the new filter/oring are now holding pressure, but I have my lines crossed somewhere. I've never seen a water valve with so many damn lines, usually only a supply and maybe 2. This one has at least 4 or 5 plus the supply.

Please help guys, the install instructions that came with the valve were toilet paper, and Appliance Parts was no help over the phone and advised to come here...I have to get this running asap

I appreciate the time!

water supply was kinked, so I now have water.

Problem still exists where I have the water filter housing leaking a great deal, and no (trickles at times) water coming out the dispenser.

I'm thinking I must have the hoses in the wrong connectors, but don't have anything to go off of to correct myself. A diagram or instructions would really help, please someone?

This fridge must've been disconnected and then placed outside or in an unheated garage exposed to below-freezing temps before you purchased it... It will take a closer inspection of the filter housing and connections to see if those are cracked as well... HSG AP3267542 CONN.s AP3214425 AND depending on how long this fridge sat dormant may have allowed 'thingies' to grow in the stagnant water lines which could obstuct flow... I suggest a thorough flushing when you do get the water flow problem solved... cheers, kooler
