Oops sorry..
new at this. not a computer techie that much. I have an
Amana Dryer that heats for about 5 minutes. over 10 years
old.Model lg4309n. serial number 9305030158. Problem
started in mid july. until that time I never had a problem
with. your thoughts?

Could be the coils are going bad, did you notice longer drying times over this period? I would also check the vent and make sure it is clear all the way out.
