Hi. My retired father has a Maytag LSG7804AAE dryer, which is a stacked unit above the washer. The dryer spins but there is no heat. After looking at Model LSG7804AAE and Model LSG7804AAE we purchased and installed a flame sensor and multi-temp thermostat. We also cleaned the vents, screen intake area and made sure all other airflow is clear. However we still have the same issue, no heat in the dryer. Do you think that this could be the gas valve, gas orifice, dryer igniter or something else? Thank you Gene and the other AppliancePartsPro team for the great work that you all do. You all are the best. Cheers. :-)

Hi Dave, Remove the front access panel, unplug the igniter and check it for continuity. Replace the igniter if the circuit is open. If there is nothing wrong, check for continuity the hi limit thermostat (#17 on the gas valve break down diagram). Replace it if the circuit is open. - The part number for the igniter is AP3109449 - The part number for the hi limit thermostat is AP275754 Post your findings, please. Gene.

Gene - your recommendation was right on. I replaced both parts and everything is working like a charm. Many thanks.

Hi frankkie,
Did the igniter stay "on" all the time or it was cycling?
Make sure the gas shut off valve behind the dryer is open.
Gene.

I have a stackable Mytag gas dryer that will turn but with no heat. I can not see any glow, and the gas does not light. Is this a gas valve issue, or dot I need to check continuity? I can not smell gas.
Thanks for you help, Photoguy

It's a Mytag LGS7804AAE stackable gas dryer. I took the front panel off and I do not see any glow from the ignition or smell any gas. I bought a multi meter, but I haven't used it yet. If the Igniter is bad would I smell gas?
Thanks Gene

The model number you posted does not come up anywhere. Verify and repost it.

Sorry, It's a Maytag LSG7804AAE. The igniter has a part that is white and has a bump on the back that looks like something bubbled, or melted to it. The ohm meter does not change at all when the testers are connected. Thank you again for your help Gene.
