I have a thin twin model that gave out. The water isn't draining during the spin cyle. It gave out during the spin cycle after the rinse. I have not tried to run it again since this happened. I would appreciate some help please. The economy slow down has put me in a position to have to fix this machine rather than buying another one! Help

What you should do is open it up and take off the pump (this is a direct drive washer which means the motor shaft inserts into the transmission through a coupling, and the opposite shaft drives the pump) and see if the machine will operate in spin mode. (Water will come gushing out when you do this so be prepared)

What you are looking to do is to determine if the problem is in the pump, an obstruction in the hoses or the motor is not turning.

This service manual will show you how to get into it. It is not difficult, but get a helper you can boss around and take your time.
