Hello, my stove top burners will no longer light. The electronic ignition pilot does not click. Both sides. I noticed it was not clicking some times, but would finally light. Now nothing happens. I have to use a lighter to light the stove top burners. I did notice the left side ignightor looks a little burnt. Would one side being bad cause both sides not to work? If i do have to replace the ignitor do I have to pull the range away from the wall? I did try to turn the oven on and it came on after a coupld of miniutes. THANKS for any replies

If it does not click whichever burner is turned On, then the problem most likely is a bad spark module (#4 on the diagram). - The spark module Part number: AP4094158
Quote:...I did try to turn the oven on and it came on after a couple of miniutes... If it takes more than 70 seconds, replace the oven igniter (#6 on the diagram). - The oven igniter Part number: AP4012072

Thanks Gene for the information and manual. Is it possible to replace the spart module without disconnecting the gas and pulling the stove out. Per the manual the spark module is on the left side of the stove and the side panel has to come off. Page 45 of the manusl. Please let me know if it is possible to replace the spark module without pulling the stove out from the wall. Thanks J.S

You have to follow the instructions from the Service manual. If it says the range has to be pulled out, then you have to pull it out. It is not necessarily to disconnect the gas line if it's long enough.

How to remove the washer cabinet.doc (25kb) downloaded 5 time(s).Gene I ordered the part that was for my model # PGR4310CDW, However the original part and the new part are different sizes and look totally different. any suggestions on how to install the new one? The new one is bigger and there is no way to mount it in the original position. Also I have no way of knowing where the connections go. I see there are 2 power connections and 2 connections that go to the spark assy. Do you know how I can find out what to do here. THANKS Update Gene I found this part on your website Part Details - WHIRLPOOL Spark module kit, part number: AP4010034 This is what mine looks like. I checked the model # 2x and I did have the correct stove model #, however the part you referred me to and the one that is on the web site does not match. What do you recommend? The spark module with the part number AP4094158 comes up as a search result by your model number. All these diagrams came from the manufacturer and I do not know why they used this part. It is possible to install it instead of the original, but it needs some alterations.
The spark module you found looks almost exactly as the original and you definitely can use it. Contact the Appliance Parts Pros customer service and they will exchange the part.
Gene.
