I can not figure out how to gain access to the timer on our Maytag washer. I am assuming that you pop off the face, once all the knobs have been removed, but do not want to break the face of the washer. If you can pop off the face, please advise on where to apply pressure.

On this model you have to release the top console by inserting a thin putty knife in the gap between the console and top near the edges to release the clips that hold the console to the top.

It is a little bit tricky, and sometimes you have to really shove the thing in there but it will release. Then you can access the timer.
