Hi Guys
Nice to meet you all.

I need some advice..
I am currently searching for a fridge that is mobile.
I’ve come across quite a few but with hefty price tags.

I then came across bar fridges, some being the same size as mobile fridges but at less than half the price. So I began thinking, if I can use a bar fridge but make use of the same power source the mobile fridge will use.

So not to be biased to mobile fridges hefty price, I chose to leave that option still open.

Simply put, I’ve narrowed down my options to this.

Bar Fridge vs Mobile Fridge
Battery Power (Invertor) vs Generator.

My final decision on the above options will be based on the following.

Price – Price is broken down into categories. 1 is the cost of the Fridge and Power source.
The other is the cost of daily use of the fridge with that power source, e.g if using the generator then how much will it cost an hour to use the fridge with the generator and contrast to that, if we using the battery invertors, how long will a deep cycle battery last before I have to recharge it.

Life Span – Life span of the type of fridge taking into account guarantee period of fridge and the fact that they will be moved around making it more susceptible to damage.
Life span of the power source i.e Fridge and Generator

Size – Size is pretty important as something too big will be hard to move around and something too small won’t meet my needs. I would say the design of the fridge is important as a fridge sized at 100L may be easier to move about that one sized at 80L because of the way the 2 are designed.

Features – The main feature for me is to be able to set the fridge at a constant temperature. Something with digital setting will be easier and more accurate.

** With regards to invertors and generator, how do I calculate how long each one will run continuously before Refueling or Recharging (as in the case with battery)? I haven’t really looked at either option in terms of specifications like wattage and size but I’m sure there is a general calculation that I can use.

I guess most of you want to know why I am being so cautious. Well I am starting a catering business, for birthday parties and such. Some places I go will not have electricity and a fridge is a must for me.

Thanks guys and looking forward to everyone’s comments.
Regards
